We had an amazing Thursday afternoon at the Twin valley zoo in Brantford. I honestly wasn’t expecting much when we initially decided to visit. I assumed it would be a few “local” animals in a small area and not much else.

I couldn’t have been more wrong! The zoo was absolutely fantastic and we had such a blast for my daughter second birthday. The animals range from deer, pigs to TIGERS! And Grey Wolves?!?
The animals have huge enclosures and appear to be really well taken care of. The sheer amount and variety of animals was incredible and I can say with complete honesty that we had more fun than we do at the Toronto zoo.

The zoo is family owned and has been for decades, we learned. We had such a lovely day that we fully intent on coming back again soon. It’s just a shame it took my 30 years to find this place!

Plenty of parking and open space to wander around the zoo. Playground for the kids was nice. The enclosures were pretty big for the animals and appeared clean. We also appreciated how much shaded areas there were to get out of the sun.

Our family spent most of the day here and had a great time. I was surprised at the variety of animals they had. I loved the tigers, flamingos and the giant turtle. There was lots of space to find a place to sit even on a holiday weekend. They have picnic tables, ice cream, and a lot of spots with shade. We were there on a very hot day but could find a place to sit in the shade when needed. The animals appeared to be well shaded with lots of trees as well. It's just the right size for a good walk around to see everything.

Cute little zoo with some nice exhibits. However directional signs are few and far between and no map given out. There is a digital map but its not very good and the phone reception is spotty to say the least. Also the animal exhibit signs don't seem to be up to date, for example there are supposedly peacocks in with the red fox? Not very safe for peacocks if its right. Also there is a large cow species in with the alpacas, no idea what though as no sign. Otherwise, not a bad little place for the price.

Best zoo for small kids. Has play area as well. Kids can pet Deer, Goat. They have quite few variety of Huge animals Lion, Tiger, Bear. Nice collection of Birds. Lots of trees and be a picnic spot too. My kids loved it.

Such an incredible time at the Twin Valley Zoo! We brought our entire group of special needs athletes to the zoo a few years ago and it was such a wonderful experience. We went again this past weekend and holy it is even better! Every year that we go this place just seems to be getting better and better. It was extremely inclusive, welcoming and the most wonderful zoo experience that I’ve ever had. Fierce N Fit Boxing cannot wait for our next trip to the Twin Valley Zoo! These animals were very interactive, happy and such a joy to be around.

Visited this zoo for the first time with my toddler, It’s a perfect spot for a family outing or anyone who loves animals. Great place to spend a 3-5 hours stay. Such a great little zoo. My toddler enjoyed a lot.
